We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and pro-active Buyer's Assistant to join the Williams team assisting in all aspects of the buying process across women's footwear. Reporting to the Buyer –Williams Ladieswear, you will utilise your well-developed administrative skills and demonstrate a genuine passion for working with product.

 

About the role

Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing end-to-end order process from range plan to orders to follow up and delivery
  • Maintaining reporting systems in Merchandising System (Retek)
  • Accurately registering product, raising purchase orders and invoices
  • Maintaining effective relationships and regular communication with suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are met
  • Managing the sample process in conjunction with the Product Developers
  • Collating information and organise photography samples for the product guide
  • Influencing category assortments by assisting with the analysis of product performance, customer and store feedback, competitive landscape and market knowledge/trends
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the Buy Plan from the Range Plan
  • Conducting size-curve analysis
  • Preparing and distributing weekly sales reports and any other reports as required
  • Supporting the Buying team with administrative needs
  • Developing and  implementing efficient processes within Buying department

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Fashion
  • 2+ previous experience in a Buyer's Assistant role or in an administrative capacity within a buying team
  • Previous experience with Retek (desired) or similar Merchandising system
  • A passion for developing a career in buying
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task…this is a fast paced environment!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numerical and problem solving skills
  • High resilience and initiative
