Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic HR Administration Assistant on a 6 month contract (with a possibility to become permanent) to join our established HR team that's ideal for a recent HR graduate. You will gain hands on experience in this diverse and busy role. We need a strong team player to assist with not only a variety of administrative tasks, but to also provide strong, consistent and timely customer service to our business groups.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience in both customer service and administration in a fast paced environment. 

 

Key responsibilities are:

  • Coordinating the commencement of new starters paperwork and induction
  • Processing of employee paperwork including new starters and transfers
  • Day to day administrative tasks such as filing and uploading of documents as well as ad hoc administration
  • Preparing paperwork and correspondence relating to employment conditions
  • Supporting the HR team across all recruitment activities
  • Coordinating the on-boarding, induction and leaving process
  • Responding to general HR queries
  • Maintaining employee files and running reports

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR
  • Whilst not essential, previous experience in HR and/or Recruitment would be an advantage
  • A strong and pro-active work ethic combined with a dedicated attitude
  • Knowledge of the National Employment Standards in line with the Fair Work Act 2009 and the General Retail Award 2010 would be advantageous.
  • A supportive and empathetic nature to ensure close working relationship retail operations team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency  in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute towards a dynamic team environment
  • Results orientation and be self-motivated
